This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to cefoperazone or any other medicines of the cephalosporin and beta-lactam class of antibiotics.
Before taking it, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Do not use if you experience severe diarrhea after receiving Cefoperazone. Antibiotic therapy will cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine. This may decrease the gut friendly bacteria and may promote the growth of a bacteria called Clostridium difficile, resulting in diarrhea.
This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from any kidney disease. Appropriate dose adjustments are to be made based on CrCl.
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a known history of liver diseases or active liver diseases.
