is an antibacterial drug used to treat conditions such as lower respiratory tract infections, skin and skin structure infections, urinary tract infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, bacterial septicemia, bone and joint infections, and meningitis.

Side Effects

headache,muscle pain, abdominal.pain,weakness,nausea,dizziness,hypersensitivity reactions (including rash, pruritus, hives, and swelling), pancreatitis.

When not to use

Contraindicated in patients with a previous history of hypersensitivity to tinidazole or other nitroimidazole derivatives.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, severe breathing problems (such as obstructive lung disease, severe asthma), liver disease, a disease of the pancreas (pancreatitis), stones in your gallbladder (gallstones).
