It is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.
Swelling, redness, or pain at the injection site may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
It is contraindicated in patients with Antimicrobial resistance, viral infection,cephalosporin hypersensitivity and penicillin hypersensitivity.
Before using cefepime, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other antibiotics (such as penicillins, other cephalosporins); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, stomach/intestinal diseases (such as colitis).
Continue to use this medication for the full time prescribed, even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may result in a return of the infection.
This medication passes into breast milk in small amounts and is unlikely to harm a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Drugs such as Aminoglycosides such as Garamycin (gentamicin) Diuretics(water pills) can interact with this drug.
