It is used to treat infections of the stomach, intestine, urinary tract and genital area. It is also used to prevent possible infections during a surgical procedure.

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.
Before taking it, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Drinking plenty of fluids to prevent lack of fluid in the body (dehydration).
You should stay off work, school, college, etc, while you have amoebiasis. Your doctor will advise you when it is suitable for you to return. Avoid contact with other people as far as possible during this time.
Even if you feel well, keep taking the tablets until the course is finished (unless your doctor tells you to stop). If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
