It can cause pyrexia, nausea, hypertension, cough, vomitting, rash, headache etc.
It is contra indicated in Hypersensitivity to epoetin alfa or albumin or mammalian cell-derived products, Uncontrolled hypertension.
Use caution in hypertension, iron deficiency, folate or B12 deficiency, congestive heart failure (CHF), coronary artery disease (CAD), seizure disorder, sickle-cell disease, hemolytic anemia, porphyria, hematologic disorders
Use lowest dose sufficient to reduce need for RBC transfusions
This medicine should not be used in cases where an immediate increase in red blood cell count is desired.
This medicine should be used with caution since it can cause severe to fatal adverse effects especially in patients suffering from a pre-existing condition of the heart and blood vessels.

Drugs that may interact with this drug are Ramipril, Cyclosporine and Thalidomide.
