Your doctor may want you to have blood tests to monitor your liver function if you are having high doses or prolonged treatment with this medicine. Symptoms that may suggest a liver problem include persistent nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, or the development of jaundice (a yellow colouring to the skin and the whites of the eyes). Consult your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.
A course of treatment typically lasts around seven days. You should not use the cream or ointment for longer than ten days.
Fucidin tablets contain lactose and are not suitable for people with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactose deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
This medicine may pass into breast milk in small amounts. It should only be used during breastfeeding if the benefit to the mother outweighs any potential risk to the nursing infant. Seek further medical advice from your doctor.
