This medicine is indicated in treatment of bacterial infection.

Abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.
Before taking vancomycin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Ototoxicity may occur; toxicity proportional to amount of drug given and duration of treatment; presence of tinnitus or vertigo may indicate vestibular injury; discontiue if signs of ototoxicity occur.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, hearing problems.
It is unknown if this form of vancomycin passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

This medicine may interact with bacitracin,typhoid vaccine live,cholera vaccine,amikacin,carboplatin,cyclosporine,amphotericin b deoxycholate.
